FAQ

Common questions

Everything you need to know about lessons.

What ages do you teach? +
I specialize in teaching children ages 4-12. This is a wonderful window when musical foundations are most naturally absorbed through play and exploration.
How long are the lessons? +
Lessons are 30 minutes for beginners (ages 4-6) and 45 minutes for intermediate students (ages 7+). This duration keeps young learners engaged without fatigue.
Do you follow a specific curriculum? +
Yes! I prepare students for Trinity College London and ABRSM examinations, but always with joy as the priority. Exams are optional milestones, not the main goal.
What if my child has never touched a piano? +
Perfect! Complete beginners are my specialty. We start with games, songs, and exploration before formal notation. Your child will fall in love with music first.
How do I know if my child is ready? +
If they show curiosity about music, can sit still for 10-15 minutes, and follow simple instructions, they're ready! A trial lesson will help us both assess the fit.
Do you offer online lessons? +
Yes, I offer both in-studio and online lessons via Zoom. Online works surprisingly well for young learners when structured thoughtfully.
